College of Education & Human Development at the University of Minnesota (CEHD)

The mission of the University of Minnesota College of Education and Human Development is to contribute to a just and sustainable future through engagement with the local and global communities to enhance human learning and development at all stages of the life span. Programming advances research, teaching, and community engagement to increase opportunities for all individuals to have a successful start in life and to foster healthy human development, and will provide programs that meet the demands of the 21st century.

The CEHD serves those who are interested in pursuing teaching as a career path at both the undergraduate and graduate level. There are several scholarship opportunities, as well as organizations and departments that are part of the school for individuals who are underrepresented in the teaching field.

The program is about preparing college students for the world of teaching by giving them first hand experience in the world, as well as supporting them in the classroom space.

The programming takes place at the University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities Campus.

The length and start dates range across the many programs offered in the College.

The University of Minnesota College of Education and Human Development goal is to contribute to a just and sustainable future through engagement with the local and global communities. Therefore the goal of such programming is to support teachers, as well as create thriving in Minnesota classrooms.
